Job summary

Howard County Government seeks a skilled Plant Operations Supervisor for the Little Patuxent Water Reclamation Plant. This role oversees daily wastewater operations, analyzes data, and ensures adherence to SOPs while coordinating with staff and external partners.

You will supervise four Operators, manage scheduling and performance, and support safety and compliance across the plant. Strong leadership and technical knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus six years related experience or equivalent
• Class C Maryland Driver's License required
• Class "5A" Wastewater Operator Certificate required
• Thorough knowledge of wastewater treatment operations and plant systems

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the wastewater treatment plant.
• Supervise and assign duties to Operators; enforce policies and guidelines.
• Coordinate plant operations with Operations, Maintenance, and outside agencies.
• Prepare reports and maintain operating records; manage inventories and orders.
