Job summary

Fishbeck, a 100% employee‑owned firm, is seeking a Senior Engineer - Wastewater Planning & Modeling in Michigan. You’ll lead wastewater collection system planning, hydraulic modeling, flow monitoring, and infrastructure studies for communities and authorities across the region, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with clients.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil or Environmental Engineering, a PE license, 8+ years in flow monitoring and modeling, and strong written and verbal

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 8+ years of experience in flow monitoring, modeling and analysis of sanitary/storm sewer systems.
• Proficiency with EPA SWMM and PCSWMM; InfoWorks ICM is a plus.
• Strong communication skills including technical writing and client interaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead sanitary sewer flow monitoring programs, data review and analysis.
• Develop, calibrate and apply sanitary sewer hydraulic models.
• Perform wastewater collection system capacity evaluations and wet weather analyses.
• Prepare wastewater master plans, alternatives analyses and technical memorandums.
• Analyze SSES data and support solutions for SSO, CSO, and basement backup concerns.
• Lead project management activities, client meetings, schedules and budgets.
• Support proposals, scope development and business development efforts.
