Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber seeks a Senior Engineer to lead wastewater planning and modeling in the Water/Wastewater Team. You will oversee flow monitoring, hydraulic modeling, capacity evaluations, and master plans for communities and wastewater authorities across the region.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, a civil or environmental engineering degree, 8+ years of relevant experience, and strong communication skills to present findings and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or related field).
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• 8+ years of experience in flow monitoring, modeling, and analysis of sanitary and storm sewer systems.
• Proficiency with EPA SWMM and PCSWMM; experience with InfoWorks ICM is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, including technical writing and client interaction.
• Ability to lead projects and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead sanitary sewer flow monitoring programs, data review, and analysis.
• Develop, calibrate, and apply sanitary sewer and combined sewer hydraulic models.
• Perform wastewater collection system capacity evaluations and wet weather analyses.
• Prepare wastewater master plans, alternatives analyses, and technical memorandums.
• Analyze SSES data and support solutions for SSO, CSO, and basement backup concerns.
• Lead project management activities, client meetings, schedules, and budgets.
• Support proposals, scope development, and business development efforts.
