Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber is seeking a Senior Engineer to lead wastewater planning and hydraulic modeling across Michigan and neighboring states. The role emphasizes project leadership, data-driven analyses, and stakeholder collaboration with municipal and authorities.

The position offers hybrid schedules with flexible options and the chance to mentor junior staff while delivering critical infrastructure projects across communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• PE license required.
• 8+ years in flow monitoring, modeling, and analysis of sanitary and storm sewer systems.
• Proficiency with EPA SWMM and PCSWMM; InfoWorks ICM is a plus.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead sanitary sewer flow monitoring programs, data review, and analysis.
• Develop, calibrate, and apply sanitary sewer and combined sewer hydraulic models.
• Perform wastewater collection system capacity evaluations and wet weather analyses.
• Prepare wastewater master plans, alternatives analyses, and technical memorandums.
• Analyze SSES data and support solutions for SSO, CSO, and basement backup concerns.
• Lead project management activities, client meetings, schedules, and budgets.
• Support proposals, scope development, and business development efforts.
