Job summary

You will lead operators, coordinate maintenance, monitor performance data, prepare reports and SOPs, and respond to emergencies while mentoring staff and maintaining safe working conditions across city facilities in Garland, Texas.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience in wastewater treatment or equivalent education/experience as determined by the City of Garland.
• Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Class A Wastewater Treatment Operator's License (or equivalent).
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with supervisors to ensure process efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor operations, collect samples, and read SCADA instrumentation.
• Train, mentor staff, and manage work schedules and reports.
• Create work orders and coordinate housekeeping for treatment assets and lift stations.
• Maintain logs and facility grounds; respond to emergencies and odor concerns.
