The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 10 years in related work, and a PE license. Strong leadership, budgeting, and coordination with agencies are essential to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • 10 years related experience.
  • 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance of CIP plans with federal/state/city regulations.
  • Coordinate designs with other jurisdictions and obtain permits.
  • Manage project budget during design and construction phases.
  • Review deviations from approved plans and determine acceptability.
  • Develop asset management and long-term planning for water/wastewater systems.
  • Coordinate staff and consultants for analyses and feasibility studies.
  • Develop policies for water/wastewater operations.
  • Assist with reporting to City Council.
