Job summary

Egis in the U.S. is seeking an experienced Wastewater Engineer (PE) to support municipal wastewater infrastructure projects from our Houston, TX office.

You will contribute to planning, design, and delivery for wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, and collection systems while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and municipal clients. The role emphasizes leading project tasks, preparing technical reports, and providing client communications.

Qualifications

• Experience with wastewater treatment plant planning, design, and rehabilitation.
• Experience leading project tasks and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering studies, design calculations, plans, specs, and reports.
• Design wastewater treatment facilities and related processes.
• Design pump stations, lift stations, and conveyance systems.
• Perform hydraulic analyses and evaluate system performance.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines.
• Support permitting, regulatory compliance, and construction-phase services.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff.
