Egis Houston is seeking an experienced Wastewater Engineer (PE) to support planning, design, and delivery of municipal wastewater infrastructure projects. The candidate will handle treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and municipal clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering.
• 8+ years of wastewater engineering experience, municipal focus preferred.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with wastewater treatment plant planning, design, rehab; pump stations; collection systems.
• Experience leading project tasks, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and working with clients.
• Familiarity with hydraulic modeling, design software, and industry standards.
• Experience supporting permitting and construction-phase services.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering studies, design calculations, plans, specifications, and technical reports.
• Design and rehabilitate wastewater treatment facilities and processes.
• Design pump stations, lift stations, force mains, and related conveyance systems.
• Perform hydraulic analyses and evaluate system performance.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines.
• Support permitting, regulatory compliance, and construction-phase services.
• Manage project tasks, schedules, budgets, and client communications.
• Mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
