Job summary

Egis is seeking a Wastewater Engineer (PE) to support planning, design, and delivery of municipal wastewater projects in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of wastewater experience and an active PE license, with expertise in plant design, pump stations, and collection systems.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support permitting and construction-phase services, and mentor junior staff as part of a growing U.S. team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of wastewater engineering experience, preferably with municipal clients.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with wastewater treatment plant design, pump stations, and collection systems.
• Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and familiarity with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Prepare engineering studies, design calculations, plans, and specifications.
• Design wastewater facilities, pump stations, and conveyance systems.
• Perform hydraulic analyses and evaluate system performance.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Support permitting, regulatory compliance, and construction-phase services.
• Mentor junior engineers and staff.
