Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma and five years journey-level experience installing, maintaining and repairing industrial electrical/electronic equipment, with one year in a supervisory role.
• Possession of Hawaii State supervising electrician's license (or supervising industrial electrician's license).
• Knowledge of supervision, electricity, electronics, testing equipment, safety practices, and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, assign and review work through supervisors for installation, maintenance, repair and calibration of complex electrical and electronic systems.
• Supervise installation, maintenance, repair and calibration of control systems and equipment (SCADA, sensing devices, transducers, amplifiers, transmitters, motors, recorders).
• Supervise drafting and modification of circuits to meet operational needs; oversee testing and calibration of equipment.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and adjust as conditions change.
• Evaluate maintenance reports, prioritize work, and ensure efficiency and safety procedures.
• Ensure safety training and compliance with regulations; oversee budgeting and procurement for the section.
