Job summary

Larimer County Solid Waste seeks a dependable Loader Operator to operate a Volvo L150 at a modern solid waste transfer station. You will load transfer trailers, manage waste piles, and rely on onboard weighing to maximize payloads while maintaining safe axle weight distribution.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license; a CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three years of directly related experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license by date of hire; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a Volvo L150 or comparable wheel loader in a high-volume transfer station.
• Use onboard weighing systems to measure payloads and ensure compliance with weight limits.
• Maintain organized tipping floor and coordinate with drivers to load transfer trailers.
• Perform daily pre-operation inspections and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and support continuous improvement in productivity and safety.
