Larimer County's Solid Waste Department is seeking a Truck Driver to operate commercial vehicles transporting solid waste from transfer stations to landfills and waste diversion facilities. You will secure loads, complete required documentation, and perform basic vehicle inspections while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

The role requires a valid driver's license, Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, DOT knowledge, and at least two years of heavy-vehicle experience.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid driver's license by date of hire.
• CDL Class A with tanker endorsement by date of hire.
• Two years of experience in commercial, waste hauling, or similar heavy vehicle driving.
• Knowledge of DOT safety regulations.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow department and County rules, regulations, policies, and SOPs.

Responsabilités

• Transport solid waste and recyclables from transfer stations to landfill sites and regional end markets.
• Secure loads in compliance with DOT safety regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers.
• Fuel, grease, and clean trucks daily.
• Ensure loads comply with weight regulations and safety standards.
• Complete daily driver logs and required documentation on time.
• Follow haul schedules, routes, and traffic laws.
• Work safely in various weather and site conditions.
