Job summary

Responsibilities include hiring and training, enforcing safety programs, supporting process improvements, and coordinating receiving, stocking, and outbound shipments. Forklift operation and occasional driving may be required in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related experience.
• Supervise assistant receivers and helpers.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems.
• Willing to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice.
• Good memory and scanning abilities.
• Good communication and math skills.
• Able to lift up to 65 lbs. with the proper equipment and climb 20 feet on a regular basis.
• Able to learn to use a forklift.
• May require valid drivers license and conformance with company driver policy.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication.
• Conducts interviews, hiring and training as necessary.
• Supports the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements. Maintain a safe working environment for all associates.
• Assists with process improvement initiatives.
• Conducts regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures. Continually enforces productivity standards.
• Ensure excellent customer service and communication.
• Receiving: Check in product completely and accurately; Stock products correctly.
• Loading: Pick product for daily deliveries along with special deliveries; Load trucks using good judgment regarding use of space and product safety.
• Returns: Inspect and physically count returned merchandise; Restock inventory; Outbound freight of vendor returns; Paperwork for all warranty product; Unloading of transfers.
• Operate power equipment, including forklift; May work as a backup driver as assigned.
