Job summary

Virginia Transformer Corp in Rincon, Georgia, is seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse Manager to lead our large-scale warehouse and distribution operations. This role focuses on safety, inventory accuracy, and operational excellence in a high-volume environment.

You will build staffing models, optimize layout, drive Lean initiatives, and develop teams across multiple shifts, delivering on-time material movement to manufacturing and customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or related field.
  • 10+ years of warehouse or distribution center leadership experience.
  • Experience managing large warehouse or distribution operations (50,000+ sq. ft. preferred).
  • Experience leading large, multi-shift teams.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse design, inventory management, and material flow.
  • Demonstrated success improving safety, inventory accuracy, productivity, and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, staging, shipping, and inventory management.
  • Optimize warehouse layout, material flow, and space utilization.
  • Ensure timely, accurate material movement supporting both manufacturing and customer deliveries.
  • Establish operational excellence through standardized processes and execution.
  • Lead warehouse startups, expansions, relocations, or major operational changes.
  • Design warehouse layouts and racking strategies.
  • Select and implement material handling equipment including forklifts, cranes, conveyors, and storage systems.
  • Execute staffing, training, and successful operational launches.
  • Own inventory accuracy through cycle counting and inventory control processes.
  • Reduce material loss, damage, and obsolescence.
  • Partner with Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Logistics to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and hourly employees.
  • Build staffing models and labor plans that support business growth.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Champion a safety-first culture.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance and safe operation of all warehouse equipment.
  • Drive Lean initiatives focused on productivity, throughput, warehouse capacity, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop KPIs and performance dashboards.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality.
  • Utilize ERP and Warehouse Management Systems to improve operational performance.
  • Monitor metrics including Inventory Accuracy, Dock-to-Stock Time, On-Time Shipping, Labor Productivity, Safety Performance

Position Summary

Virginia Transformer is seeking an experienced Senior Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse and distribution operations in Rincon, Georgia.

This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for managing a large-scale industrial warehouse supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading high-volume warehouse operations, driving continuous improvement, developing teams, and delivering world-class safety, inventory accuracy, and customer service.

This is not a developmental position. We are seeking a proven warehouse leader who has successfully managed large distribution or manufacturing warehouse operations, led sizable teams, and consistently improved operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Distribution Leadership
  • Lead all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, staging, shipping, and inventory management.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of warehouse or distribution center leadership experience
  • Experience managing large warehouse or distribution operations (50,000+ sq. ft. preferred)
  • Experience leading large, multi-shift teams
  • Strong understanding of warehouse design, inventory management, and material flow
  • Demonstrated success improving safety, inventory accuracy, productivity, and customer service
Preferred
  • Manufacturing or industrial warehouse experience
  • Experience leading warehouse relocations, expansions, or greenfield startups
  • Experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience
