We’re strategically building our team for the next 3X growth cycle—a phase that is both intense and incredibly rewarding. We’re highly selective about who joins us because this journey isn’t for everyone.

If you have the drive, grit, and expertise to perform at a high level—and you want to grow your career 3X alongside the Company’s growth—we’d love to talk.

Who We Are

Virginia Transformer is the largest U.S.-owned manufacturer of power transformers in North America. With more than 6,000 employees, six manufacturing facilities (with another currently under construction), and a reputation for engineering excellence, we continue to lead the industry by delivering premium-quality transformers with the shortest lead times.

As a privately held company experiencing rapid organic growth, we move fast, make decisions quickly, and empower our people to take ownership.

The Project Coordinator serves as the communication hub between customers, manufacturing plants, engineering, supply chain, and operations. Success in this role requires someone who naturally takes ownership, follows through on commitments, solves problems proactively, and keeps multiple priorities moving without constant direction.

  • Monitor project schedules, milestones, and production status to ensure on-time execution.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and proactively drive them to completion.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, planning, purchasing, logistics, and customer service teams.
  • Identify potential schedule or production issues and work cross-functionally to resolve them.
  • Communicate project updates internally and externally with professionalism and urgency.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and status updates.
  • Track critical action items and ensure accountability across multiple stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project execution and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination, operations, manufacturing, customer service, supply chain, or a related field.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Preferred

  • Engineering degree or technical background.
  • Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Experience coordinating projects across multiple facilities.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
  • Experience supporting capital equipment or engineered-to-order products.

What We\'re Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Takes ownership rather than waiting for direction.
  • Follows through until problems are solved.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Keeps customers at the center of every decision.
  • Is organized, dependable, and highly accountable.
  • Enjoys coordinating multiple moving pieces and making things happen.
