Job summary
Ashley Furniture is seeking a Senior Warehouse Automation Process Engineer to transform distribution centers into Smart Warehouses. You will lead design and implementation of high-speed automated equipment, robotics, PLC programming, and modeling to deliver scalable solutions and integrate with existing systems.
You will mentor junior engineers, guide cross-functional teams, manage multi-site projects, and ensure safety and compliance while driving efficiency and cost savings across the supply
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
- 7–10+ years in warehouse/automation environments.
- Experience leading large-scale automation projects.
- Experience integrating automation with WMS/ERP systems.
- Willingness to travel up to 30–50%.
Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership and long-term roadmap development for warehouse automation.
- Lead design, development, and implementation of automated systems for multi-site operations.
- Integrate automated systems with WMS and ERP for cohesive operations.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing; manage budgets and resources.
- Mentor engineers and staff; lead workshops and trainings.
- Develop documentation and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
