Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, materials management, warehouse management or a similar role.
• Proven experience in inventory management, procurement, and logistics.
• Strong understanding of ERP and MRP systems; SAP S/4 Hana a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish best practices in warehouse management and support other entities in North America.
• Plans and executes productivity improvement and process enhancement projects.
• Oversee daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for the procurement and management of materials.
• Oversee and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess.
• Collaborate with production and purchasing departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements for all materials.
• Lead, train, and develop the materials management team to improve performance.
• Coordinate with logistics to optimize the supply chain process.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
• Prepare and present reports on inventory performance, shortages, and other metrics.
• Identify and mitigate risks affecting the supply of materials.
• Utilize ERP and other software systems to manage inventory and procurement processes.
• Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping of all material transactions.
• Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and safety.
• Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement and sales teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and warehouse management standards.
• Implement and maintain effective warehouse management systems and technologies.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and infrastructure.
• Develop and manage warehouse budgets, focusing on cost control and resource optimization.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure quality control and accuracy in inventory management.
• Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to optimize supply chain and distribution processes.
• Resolve any operational issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
