Job summary

SEEK Professionals, LLC seeks a Materials, Traffic, Logistics & Warehouse Manager to oversee the safe, efficient, and cost-effective flow of materials across the organization, leading warehouse, shipping, traffic, and transportation activities.

You will manage the day-to-day of the Traffic, Logistics, and Warehouse teams, establishing clear processes and ensuring resources, training, and support to perform effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years of manufacturing leadership.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; data-driven decision making.
• Experience with ERP systems, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, and shipping/import-export compliance preferred.

Job description

As the Materials, Traffic, Logistics & Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and cost-effective flow of materials throughout the organization. You will lead warehouse, shipping, traffic, logistics, and transportation activities, ensuring incoming and outgoing materials are handled accurately, safely, and on schedule.

You will manage the day-to-day activities of the Traffic, Logistics, and Warehouse teams, including loading and unloading incoming and outgoing materials, inventory management, shipping, transportation coordination, scheduling, and warehouse operations. You will establish clear processes and expectations while ensuring the team has the resources, training, and support needed to perform effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a strong safety culture by setting expectations, leading by example, partnering with safety teams, identifying risks, and holding employees accountable for safe work practices.
• Lead and develop employees through coaching, mentoring, training, performance management, and clear communication. You will build a high-performing team focused on accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
• Manage material flow and logistics from receipt through storage, internal movement, shipment, and delivery, ensuring materials are available when and where they are needed.
• Oversee warehouse and shipping operations, including inventory control, truck loading and unloading, shipment scheduling, warehouse organization, and transportation coordination.
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing operational data, monitoring KPIs, identifying inefficiencies, reducing waste, and implementing improvements that increase quality, productivity, and service.
• Manage costs and productivity by monitoring transportation expenses, inventory levels, labor resources, delivery performance, and departmental budgets while identifying opportunities to reduce total supply chain costs.
• Establish and maintain standard processes and procedures to ensure consistent execution across warehouse, shipping, transportation, and logistics activities.
• Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, purchasing, customer service, quality, safety, and other departments to improve communication, resolve issues, and meet customer and business expectations.
• Manage transportation and order fulfillment activities, including route planning, shipment coordination, delivery schedules, and overall order-cycle performance.
• Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met, including applicable U.S. and international requirements related to supply chain, freight movement, and import/export activities.
• Resolve complex operational issues involving multiple departments, locations, shipments, suppliers, customers, and transportation providers.
• Develop departmental budgets and resource plans and ensure the appropriate people, equipment, systems, and processes are in place to meet current and future business needs.
• Develop training and audit programs to ensure processes and internal controls are consistently followed and remain effective.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient facility by establishing and reinforcing strong housekeeping and warehouse standards.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field. You bring 6+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years of manufacturing leadership experience.

Leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently. You are comfortable using data and KPIs to make decisions and improve operational performance.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with ERP systems, Solid Edge, AutoCAD, warehouse management, transportation, logistics, and international shipping/import-export compliance is preferred.
