Job summary

Salt River Project (SRP) is seeking telecom technicians to provide field support for LAN/WAN/FAN networks, radio systems, and fiber optics. The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining telecom technologies and coordinating with engineering for system changes and outages.

The position offers a hybrid workplace in Arizona, with on-call responsibilities and opportunities to mentor junior staff, while upholding SRP's safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Apprenticeship program or equivalent.
• Technician 1: no experience required; four-year apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• Technician 2: minimum of 4 years of experience, completion of four-year apprenticeship or training, or equivalent.
• Senior Technician: minimum of 6 years related experience or 2 years as Telecom Technician 2.

Responsibilities

• Installs, programs, and maintains various telecommunication technologies independently and supports others.
• Updates work and asset management tools as needed and supports others.
• Facilitates system changes and outages and supports others.
• Participates in on-call support related to network and system incidents.
• Leads more complex tasks and provides technical leadership and mentorship.
