Salt River Project (SRP) in Arizona seeks a skilled Relay Technician to perform commissioning, testing, calibration and maintenance of protective relaying systems across generation, transmission, and distribution facilities. This role centers on training in control systems and telemetry devices, with hands-on responsibilities for troubleshooting and documentation.
Technician II or Senior Technician positions are available with apprenticeship or equivalent experience.

Completion of an appropriate Apprenticeship program or equivalent.
This position may be filled at one of the two levels listed below, based on the candidate’s relevant experience and demonstrated proficiency in the required knowledge, skills, and competencies.
Technician II: Requires a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience or completion of a four‑year apprenticeship or equivalent training program.
Senior Technician: Requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Relay Technician 2 or a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience.
Eligibility for advancement (progression) to the next level in the same role is based on overall job performance, mastery of all functional responsibilities, and time in position, as assessed by the supervisor.
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
