Job summary

SMS DATA PRODUCTS GROUP, INC in Shaw AFB, SC is seeking a WAN Engineer to design, implement and secure the enterprise WAN architecture for a national network. You will configure and troubleshoot BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, monitor performance, and produce reports to support mission-critical operations.

The role requires an Associate degree or 5+ years IT experience, CCNP certification, and the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Associates in related field or 3+ years IT experience; 5+ years IT experience acceptable.
Knowledge of what constitutes a threat to a network.
Ability to provide constructive feedback to enhance future collection and analysis.
Experience with Microsoft server installation, roles, AD, storage, performance management, and maintenance.
Experience designing and troubleshooting WAN architectures using BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.

Responsibilities

Design and engineer enterprise WAN architecture.
Configure, monitor and troubleshoot the National IP/MPLS backbone network.
Implement routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP) and interface with service providers.
Analyze network metrics and identify performance issues.
Develop reports and trend analyses on bandwidth and security incidents.
Support planning, design, upgrade and deployment of datacenter hardware/software.
