Job summary

SMS DATA PRODUCTS GROUP, INC. is seeking a Campus-Data Center Network Architect to support the AFCENT NOSC contract at Shaw AFB in SC.

The role focuses on designing and engineering campus/datacenter architectures and maintaining network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a BS degree with substantial IT experience, CCNP certification, and familiarity with routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS) and 802.1x, complemented by ITIL foundations.

Qualifications

• B.S. in a related field and 5+ years’ IT experience or 7+ years’ IT experience.
• Knowledge of what constitutes a threat to a network.
• Experience with Microsoft server installation, AD, storage, performance management and maintenance.
• CCNP
• VCTA
• ITIL Foundation (can be acquired within 60 days)

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer campus/datacenter architecture.
• Configure, design, and maintain datacenter networking equipment.
• Maintain understanding of IP concepts including routing, VLANs, QoS, tuning and capacity management.
• Proficient in routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS.
• Maintain understanding of 802.1x.
• Use WLAN knowledge to design campus networks with seamless roaming.
• Analyze networking metrics and identify performance issues.
• Develop reports on bandwidth and network security incidents.
• Provide general IT Management and Networking support.
• Provide LAN support and O&M support.
• Provide documentation and meetings support.
• Provide training support.
• Support OCONUS deployments/TDY travel.
