Job summary

SMS DATA PRODUCTS GROUP, INC is seeking a network engineering professional to design and operate a National IP/MPLS backbone. You will configure routing, monitor performance, and troubleshoot complex WAN environments while supporting IT management and LAN operations.

The role requires CCNP, ITIL, and a Secret clearance, with on‑site work at a government network facility. You will contribute to enterprise datacenter planning, provide documentation, and assist with OCONUS travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates in related field with 3+ years IT experience, or 5+ years IT experience.
• Knowledge of what constitutes a “threat” to a network.
• Skill in providing feedback to enhance future collection and analysis.
• Experience with Microsoft server installation, roles, AD, storage, performance management, and maintenance.
• Experience in WAN architectures utilizing BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• CCNP certification.
• ITIL Foundation certification (can be obtained within 60 days).
• Secret clearance required

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer enterprise WAN architecture.
• Configure, monitor and trouble‑shoot National IP/MPLS backbone network.
• Configure routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Analyze networking metrics and identify sub‑par performance.
• Configure and troubleshoot QoS with policing, shaping, and queuing.
• Develop reports and trend analysis on bandwidth and security incidents.
• Collaborate on network/system planning and deployment of datacenter hardware/software.
• Provide General IT Management and Networking support.
• Provide LAN support and O&M support as required.
• Provide documentation/reports and meetings/briefings support.
• Provide functional training support as required.
• Provide OCONUS deployment/TDY travel support as required.
