Job summary

SMS Data Products Group, Inc. seeks a network engineer to design and deploy enterprise WAN architectures for a 24/7 backbone. The role focuses on configuring BGP/OSPF, MPLS, and related routing protocols, with emphasis on performance optimization and security incident reporting.

The candidate will support IT management tasks, LAN/WAN operations, and participate in deployment planning across data centers. A TS/Secret clearance is required and CCNP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates in related field and 3+ years of IT experience or 5+ years of IT experience.
• Knowledge of threats to a network.
• Experience with Microsoft server installation, roles, AD, storage, performance management, and maintenance.
• Experience designing, engineering, implementing and troubleshooting WAN architectures using BGP/OSPF and EIGRP.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer enterprise WAN architecture.
• Configure, monitor and troubleshoot the National IP/MPLS backbone network.
• Configure routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Analyze network performance and traffic metrics.
• Provide general IT management, networking, LAN and WAN support.
• Develop reports and trend analyses on bandwidth and security incidents.
• Support deployment and planning for data center hardware and software.
