Job summary

SMS DATA PRODUCTS GROUP, INC is seeking a Wide Area Network Administrator to support AFCENT Enterprise Network 24/7, ensuring reliable WAN transport operations. The role focuses on troubleshooting BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, configuring IP/MPLS backbones, and providing first-level technical support to AFCENT users.

The position requires 3+ years in LAN/WAN, CCNA and ITIL Foundation certifications, with a DoD Secret/Interim Secret eligibility, and is based in the United States (Sumter, SC area).

Qualifications

3+ years of LAN/WAN enterprise networking experience.
Experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP and WAN transport troubleshooting.
Experience with Microsoft server installation, Active Directory, storage, and performance management.

Responsibilities

Provide 24/7 WAN transport operations support.
Troubleshoot LAN/WAN protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
Configure and monitor IP/MPLS backbone network.
Assist with installation and configuration of WAN transport systems.
Develop testing and cutover plans for AFCENT WAN equipment.
Establish remote monitoring procedures for WAN in theater.
Collect and analyze networking metrics for performance and security.
Provide first-level technical support to AFCENT users.
Coordinate outages with external agencies per local policy.
Support daily AFCENT status reporting.
