Job summary

Western Union is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of its global Wallet & Account Platform. You will drive API-first platform capabilities that support wallets, payments, and account services across markets.

You will collaborate with engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders to shape secure, scalable services that enable regulatory compliance and exceptional customer experiences at global scale.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of product management experience in fintech, payments, banking, or other technical platform environments.
• Proven experience owning and scaling API/platform/infrastructure products.
• Strong understanding of wallet systems, ledgering, account models, and transaction processing.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global Wallet & Account Platform strategy and roadmap.
• Build scalable, API-first platform capabilities supporting wallets, payments, cards, and account services.
• Establish platform standards, integration patterns, and reusable components for global adoption.
• Partner with engineering to design secure, reliable, and scalable services.
• Serve as the subject-matter expert for wallet architecture and balance management.
• Collaborate with regional teams to support local regulatory, payment, and customer requirements.
• Define integration strategies with banks, payment processors, card networks, and third-party providers.
• Drive end-to-end product delivery, including requirements, prioritization, launch, and ongoing optimization.
• Monitor platform performance, adoption, and reliability metrics to guide product decisions.
• Stay current on industry trends in digital wallets, embedded finance, real-time payments, and banking platforms.
