Job summary

Robinhood is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own backend services, data systems, and infrastructure for the Wallet platform. You will design scalable architectures, deliver secure integrations, and lead technical excellence across teams.

The role focuses on building reliable crypto and tokenized stock trading experiences, with mentorship and high standards for production-ready code. Hybrid work is available in WA/NY, with in-person days.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Backend development with Go, Python, or Java and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong system design and data modeling fundamentals.
• Ability to simplify complex problems and align product, engineering, and design teams.
• Accountability for end-to-end product delivery and high code quality.
• Experience with DeFi, crypto wallets, or blockchain.
• Familiarity with EVM blockchains and smart contracts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable backend services.
• Develop product-facing features meeting correctness and scalability standards.
• Identify and implement improvements to system performance and engineering productivity.
• Collaborate closely with client teams, product managers, designers, and external vendors to deliver reliable technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers and raise the team’s technical standards.
