Job summary

Lumbercontacts.com is seeking a Senior Wall Panel and Engineered Lumber Designer in Central Massachusetts. The successful candidate will create design illustrations using Mitek Sapphire and ensure that designs meet industry standards. Previous experience in the construction industry and knowledge of architectural plans are essential.

This full-time position offers an annual salary of $65,000 to $75,000 and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and 401(k) plans.

Qualifications

• Experience with Mitek Sapphire truss, engineered wood product or wall panel design software.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Creates design illustrations using Mitek Sapphire based on blueprints.
• Completes and finalizes designs for production and assembly.
• Communicates with production teams and customers to ensure accuracy.

Skills

Knowledgeable in the basic aspects of construction

Experience using Mitek Sapphire

Competency in basic mathematics

Knowledgeable in reading architectural and structural plans

Strong verbal and written communication skills
