Job summary

Fisher Phillips in Los Angeles seeks a wage-and-hour associate with at least five years of experience to join our litigation team on complex state and federal matters.

Ideal candidates will handle claims under the California Labor Code, PAGA, and the FLSA, and will manage wage-and-hour class and representative matters from inception to resolution, including drafting complaints, conducting discovery, depositions, and motions, plus class-certification work.

Qualifications

• Five years of wage and hour litigation experience required.
• Experience litigating claims under CA Labor Code, PAGA, and FLSA.
• Must handle wage and hour class and representative matters from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and responding to complaints, answers, and dispositive motions.
• Managing written discovery.
• Taking and defending depositions.
• Preparing and arguing motions, including class certification and decertification motions.
• Litigating and strategizing PAGA representative actions.
• Analyzing exemption classifications, regular rate calculations, meal/rest period compliance, and waiting time penalties.
