Job summary

Renesas Electronics Corp. is seeking a Senior Wafer Fab Yield Engineer to drive systematic yield improvements across the semiconductor wafer fabrication process in Palm Bay, Florida.

The role connects fab performance to device yield, working with Process, Equipment, Failure Analysis, Quality and Manufacturing to reduce variability and resolve complex issues. This onsite position requires strong statistical analysis and cross-functional leadership to implement sustainable corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Significant experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication with yield or process engineering focus.
• Strong understanding of wafer fabrication processes and yield relationships.
• Proven ability to perform statistical analysis on large manufacturing datasets.
• Experience with JMP or comparable statistical tools.
• Knowledge of SPC, DOE, process capability, correlation/regression, hypothesis testing, root-cause analysis.
• Ability to communicate complex technical conclusions to engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Proven leadership in cross-functional problem-solving efforts.

Responsibilities

• Lead wafer-fab yield improvement initiatives and prioritize dominant yield-loss mechanisms.
• Analyze wafer maps, test data, inline metrology, and defect data to isolate yield loss sources.
• Perform statistical and spatial analyses to relate process conditions to electrical yield.
• Lead root-cause investigations for yield degradation and excursions.
• Translate yield findings into physical process hypotheses and corrective actions.
• Design and execute DOE to validate drivers and optimize process windows.
• Apply SPC and process capability analyses to improve manufacturing control.
• Correlate multiple data sources to identify yield improvement opportunities.
• Develop analyses and reports communicating yield trends and status.
• Lead cross-functional technical reviews for yield excursions and program improvements.
• Support new product or technology introductions during ramp.
