Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Wafer Test Engineer in Holmdel, NJ to lead test development for optical transceivers from NPI to production. You will drive ATE testing, test coverage optimization, and design-for-test decisions to improve yield and reduce costs.

Candidate should have 7+ years in semiconductor wafer testing, hands-on ATE and Python programming, and strong PCB design and data analysis skills. This role is based in our Holmdel office with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering or similar degree.
• 7+ years of proven experience with semiconductor processes, silicon/optical/photonic wafers.
• Hands-on knowledge of ATE platforms and automated test programming (Python).
• Experience with instruments such as optical switches, oscilloscopes, power meters, OSAs.
• Strong understanding of PCB design and configuration management systems (Agile/Omnify).
• Proficiency with statistical analysis tools (JMP, Data Conductor, DataPower, Power BI).
• MS Electrical Engineering preferred; 5+ years semiconductor industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and troubleshoot ATE wafer production testing for optical transceiver products.
• Influence NPI/design process to optimize DFT/DFM, test coverage, calibration, and architecture.
• Monitor and sustain product flow in offshore production to meet cost, delivery, and yield targets.
• Analyze characterization, qualification, and production data to set test limits and improve yield.
• Provide cross-functional support for product debug, failure analysis, and test improvement.
