SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking a Sr. Process Engineer for Wafer Level Assembly on the Starmind program.

You will own the full lifecycle of advanced packaging and board assembly processes for orbit-ready compute hardware, from concept through qualification to production. In this cross‑functional role you’ll partner with mechanical, thermal, materials, electrical, software and supply chain teams to define requirements, select materials, ramp tooling, and implement metrology and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, materials science, mechanical engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years experience in microelectronics device research or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of advanced packaging through board assembly process development.
• Own the full lifecycle of equipment specification, qualification, and ramp.
• Build supply chains for die, packages, components, consumable chemicals, and equipment for satellite compute manufacturing.
• Specify and implement in-process metrology tools for quality control.
• Integrate simulation tools with experimental data to guide process improvements.
• Drive end-to-end process R&D programs to reduce cost and improve reliability.
