Job summary

SpaceX is developing Starmind, a constellation for solar-powered AI compute in space, and seeks a Senior Process Engineer to own packaging, assembly, and metrology for high-performance hardware. You will partner with mechanical, thermal, materials, electrical, software, test, and supply chain teams to deliver reliable, scalable satellite compute systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 5+ years in microelectronics device research or manufacturing.
• Experience with hardware, robotics, or automation preferred.
• Exposure to tooling, fixtures, or jigs for assembly or test helpful.

Responsibilities

• Own full lifecycle of advanced packaging through board assembly process development.
• Own the full lifecycle of equipment specification, qualification, and ramp.
• Build supply chains for die, packages, components, and equipment.
• Specify and implement in-process metrology tools for quality control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance hardware.
• Drive end-to-end process R&D programs to reduce cost and improve reliability.
