Job summary

Viasat is seeking a seasoned Vulnerability Management professional to drive risk prioritization and remediation across our global infrastructure. You will triage CVEs, determine mitigation paths, map vulnerabilities to system owners, and push automation to scale the program.

You will collaborate with auditors, design dashboards to track MTTD/MTTR, and lead zero-day assessments to quickly scope exposure and coordinate rapid responses with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Vulnerability Management, with at least 3 years in tactical vulnerability management.
• Knowledge of EPSS, CVSS, SSVC, and KEV.
• Experience preparing for external security audits (ISO 27001, PCI, or CMMC).
• Ability to explain vulnerability prioritizations and risk decisions to compliance and auditors.
• Hands-on with enterprise scanners and cloud-native security platforms.
• Good understanding of OS internals, container environments, and cloud security.

Responsibilities

• Tactical threat triage: analyze internal data against advisories to identify critical risks and mitigate them.
• Lead zero-day assessments: act as VM first-responder, scope exposure, coordinate response across infrastructure and codebases.
• Scale reporting metrics: design automated dashboards tracking MTTD and MTTR.
• Support audits & regulatory compliance: serve as technical contact during internal/external audits.
• Build automated reports and dashboards that pull audit evidence on demand.
