Veritis Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Vulnerability Management Engineer to own the full lifecycle of vulnerabilities across on-prem and cloud environments in Plano, TX.

You will triage, prioritize, coordinate remediation, validate fixes, and close findings, translating technical results into risk-based actions for infrastructure, applications, and business stakeholders. The role requires hands-on expertise with enterprise scanners such as Qualys VMDR, Tenable, or Rapid7, strong CVE/ CVSS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 4–8 years hands-on vulnerability management experience.
• Experience with Qualys VMDR or similar platform.
• Strong knowledge of CVE, CVSS, remediation.
• Ability to interpret scanner results and determine remediation actions.
• Experience managing high volumes of vulnerability data.
• Experience identifying owners and driving remediation across teams.
• Experience validating remediation through rescanning or testing.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, networks, cloud environments.
• Understanding remediation methods including patching and configuration changes.

Responsabilités

• Own vulnerability findings from identification through remediation and closure.
• Analyze scanner results and contextual risk data (CVE, CVSS, KEV, EPSS).
• Investigate findings to determine applicability, ownership, and risk.
• Identify false positives and exceptions requiring validation.
• Identify owners and communicate remediation requirements clearly.
• Track findings against remediation timelines and SLAs; escalate overdue or high-risk items.
• Provide technical context, guidance, and mitigation options to remediation teams.
• Validate remediation through rescanning and evidence assessment.
• Operate and optimize vulnerability platforms (Qualys VMDR, Tenable, Rapid7).
• Maintain searches, dashboards, asset groups, and data quality.
• Develop risk-based metrics and reporting on vulnerability trends and remediation performance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve coverage and outcomes.
• Maintain procedures and automate repeatable workflows.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members.
