Job summary

Optimum, a leader in connectivity, seeks a Vulnerability Management Manager to lead a security program across infrastructure, applications, and endpoints. You’ll partner with IT operations, engineering, and security teams to drive timely patching, risk reduction, and compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to interpret and prioritize findings for executives and technical teams alike.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in vulnerability management, patch management, or security operations.
• Security+ / CISSP / CEH / GSEC or equivalent certification.
• Strong understanding of Windows/Linux, networking, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, CrowdStrike Exposure Management).
• Familiarity with patch management tools/platforms (SCCM, Intune, WSUS, JAMF, Ansible).
• Knowledge of CVE, CVSS, NIST, CIS benchmarks, and threat vectors.
• Ability to communicate risk to non-technical stakeholders; experience with ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages the Vulnerability Management program.
• Oversee strategic development of the team and administrative tasks.
• Develop and oversee a patch management program.
• Communicate findings and risks to leadership as required.
• Fulfils all compliance and audit responsibilities.
• Develops strategy, roadmap, and objectives for the program.
• Establishs channels between Threat Intelligence and SOC.
• Evaluates and updates program framework to align with best practices.
• Manages vulnerability management reporting and tool integrations.
• Participate in additional projects as directed by Security Leadership.
