Job summary

Redwire Defense Tech is seeking a Senior Vice President for U.S. Operations to provide leadership over manufacturing and engineering sites across the United States.

The role will coordinate General Managers, drive strategy, and ensure regulatory compliance in defense, aerospace, and unmanned systems sectors. The SVP will oversee performance, growth, and continuous improvement while aligning with corporate goals and regional expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 15+ years of senior leadership experience overseeing multi-site operations in defense, aerospace, UAS/UAV, or advanced manufacturing.
• Experience managing General Managers or senior leaders.
• Knowledge of AS9100, ISO, ITAR/EAR, FAA regulations, and DOD rules.
• ERP implementation experience.
• Strong communication, financial management, and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated U.S. operations strategy.
• Establish enterprise-wide standards for GMs and performance expectations.
• Advise the COO on readiness, capacity, risks, and investment planning.
• Lead and mentor General Managers responsible for manufacturing and engineering facilities.
• Ensure cross-site alignment in manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction across U.S. facilities.
• Oversee site-level P&L performance and budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO, ITAR/EAR, FAA, and DOD rules.
• Foster safety culture and leadership development.
• Provide data-driven updates to leadership on performance.
