Job summary

Redwire Defense Tech is seeking a Vice President of Operational Programs to drive coordination, alignment, and execution of all operational programs across U.S. sites.

The role acts as a strategic integrator, removing barriers and ensuring cross-functional collaboration for major production programs and critical customer commitments. The leader will standardize processes, lead cross-functional teams, and provide operational support, resources, and escalation mechanisms to ensure on-time delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or program leadership within aerospace/defense sectors.
• PMP or PMI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all operational aspects of programs across U.S. facilities, ensuring unified execution and cross-site alignment.
• Serve as the connective tissue between GMs, program directors, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, and executive leadership.
• Align site readiness, capacity planning, production schedules, and resource allocation for major programs.
• Act as the primary problem solver for cross-site operational issues impacting program execution.
• Lead cross-functional task forces to resolve urgent operational challenges around quality, delays, and supply chain constraints.
• Track operational performance of key programs, ensuring schedule adherence and delivery commitments.
• Develop enterprise-level dashboards, KPIs, and reports for SVP and executive leadership.
• Support major customer reviews and internal executive reporting on readiness and risk mitigation.
• Identify inconsistencies in workflows across sites and drive standardization and documentation.
