Job summary

Redwire Defense Tech is seeking a Vice President of Operational Programs to coordinate cross-site programs across the U.S. and ensure strategic integration, resources, and execution for major production and new product introductions.

The role requires 10+ years in aerospace/defense operations, strong leadership and communication, and willingness to travel. The position offers exempt status and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years in operations, manufacturing, or program leadership within aerospace/defense or related advanced manufacturing sectors.
• Proven success coordinating cross-functional teams across multiple sites or complex structures.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of diagnosing bottlenecks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across departments and leadership levels.
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain constraints, production planning and quality systems.
• Ability to travel frequently across U.S. facilities and work in diverse environments.
• High level of professionalism and resilience in fast-paced settings.
• PMP or PMI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all operational aspects of programs across U.S. facilities with site leadership.
• Serve as the connective tissue between General Managers, Program Directors, supply chain, and leadership.
• Align site readiness, capacity planning, production schedules, and resources for major programs.
• Act as primary problem solver for cross-site operational issues affecting execution.
• Identify bottlenecks and risks and implement actionable solutions.
• Lead cross-functional task forces to resolve quality, delays, and supply chain issues.
• Track performance with dashboards and KPIs for SVP and executives.
• Support major customer reviews and risk mitigation reporting.
• Standardize cross-site workflows and documentation.
