Job summary

Madison-Davis, LLC is seeking a VP of Trade Finance Origination & Structuring in hybrid New York to lead senior origination and structuring across unfunded trade finance exposures such as SBLCs, bank guarantees, and risk-sharing vehicles. The role combines client-facing origination with balance sheet optimization and syndication execution.

You will partner with Corporate Banking, Credit, Legal, Treasury, and Risk across geographies to expand the distribution platform via correspondent banking

Qualifications

• Seasoned trade finance professional with SBLC/guarantee structuring expertise.
• Experience in syndication and distribution of unfunded trade finance assets.
• Strong client-facing origination and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Originate and execute trade finance transactions for corporate/institutional clients in partnership with banking teams.
• Structure unfunded SBLC facilities and advise on risk-sharing arrangements, including syndicated deals.
• Distribute SBLCs, guarantees, and unfunded assets to domestic and international banks and NBFIs, through a network.
• Develop and maintain a strategic network of correspondent banks and institutional investors to support distribution activities.
• Collaborate with Treasury/Cap Management to optimize off-balance sheet utilization and capital efficiency.
• Monitor market pricing, regulatory developments, and ensure compliance with credit policies and documentation standards.
• Monitor portfolio concentrations and distribution limits, supporting ongoing reporting.
• Contribute to innovative trade finance distribution solutions and partner with strategic institutions.
