Job summary

Whitecap Search is seeking a senior leader to oversee U.S. loan closing and settlement activities across a global credit platform.

You will manage the operating model, controls, and execution of syndicated loan settlements, while leading a hybrid team of internal professionals and outsourced providers. You will serve as the senior escalation point for high-risk, time-sensitive closings and drive initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics required.
• MBA, CFA, CPA or equivalent credential is a plus.
• 7 years of investment operations experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of syndicated loan closings and settlement practices, including ClearPar workflows.
• Advanced proficiency with WSO Admin; familiarity with Allvue/Black Mountain, Everest, Geneva, and IVP preferred.
• Strong understanding of loan documentation, trade mechanics, and funding processes across leveraged loans, private credit, and CLO structures.
• Proven ability to manage high-volume pipelines, tight deadlines, and complex counterparties.
• Experience leading teams, overseeing third-party providers, and interacting with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end U.S. loan settlement function, ensuring timely, accurate, and risk-controlled execution across asset classes.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing settlement team; oversee outsourced/nearshore closing providers and manage SLA performance.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for high-risk, high-touch, or time-sensitive closings.
• Represent the loan settlements function in audit, compliance, risk, and regulatory reviews, ensuring a strong control environment.
• Partner with Legal, Trading, Portfolio Management, Treasury, Accounting, and Compliance to ensure seamless trade lifecycle execution.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex settlement-related breaks; personally manage high-touch transactions through resolution.
