Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage in the Midwest is seeking a Senior Vice President to lead SmartStop REIT Advisors, focusing on growing relationships across Independent Broker-Dealer and Registered Investment Advisor channels. The role reports to the CFO and drives new business development while expanding distribution for our investment offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in financial services with IBD/RIA focus.
• Established relationships with IBD and RIA professionals.
• Working knowledge of alternative investment products (REITs, BDCs, etc.).

Responsibilities

• New Business Development: Identifies and pursues new firm relationships to expand the Company's distribution footprint.
• Relationship Management & Retention: Manages and strengthens existing relationships with IBDs and RIAs.
• Advocacy & Demand Generation: Builds advocates within IBD and RIA firms to support approvals and adoption.
• Internal Collaboration: Works cross-functionally to align on strategies and resource use.
