Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Experience structuring, underwriting, or managing secured and unsecured structured loans, including real estate mortgages.
• Prior asset management and underwriting experience required.
• Organized, detailed-oriented approach with a personable demeanor for high-quality customer experience.
• Problem-solving with a self-start mentality under pressure and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with active listening.
• Encourages strategic, creative thinking with data-driven risk management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee underwriting and structuring of new loan opportunities.
• Oversee ongoing asset management of a portfolio of secured and unsecured loans.
• Manage borrower relationships on a diverse loan portfolio.
• Set up and maintain detailed loan files for tracking funding needs, disbursements and repayments.
• Monitor collateral structures and ensure sufficiency across ownership, cash flow, and assets.
• Conduct quarterly financial analysis, loan grading and covenant testing.
• Perform credit analysis for extensions/modifications and present risks and mitigants.
• Lead team development, processes, and technology enhancements; escalate issues in monthly Credit Committee meetings.
• Collaborate with underwriting, originations, legal and closing to address common issues and lessons learned.
• Lead special projects as requested.
