Oliver James Group is partnering with a global asset manager to hire a Senior Vice President for the Private Equity Secondaries business, based in New York. The role will oversee accounting, operations and financial reporting for a growing platform with $14bn+ AUM, driving scalable processes and controls.

The candidate will bring CPA with 12+ years of accounting experience in secondaries or funds of funds, and will lead data governance, budgeting, and collaboration across deal, client,

Qualifications

• CPA preferred with 12+ years of accounting experience in PE secondaries or funds of funds.
• Strong US GAAP technical accounting expertise.
• Experience with data governance and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with technology, automation and AI adoption a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting, operations and financial reporting for products across the secondaries strategy.
• Advance the target operating model with scalable infrastructure, processes and controls.
• Oversee data governance across vendors, administrators and systems.
• Analyse and review budgets across multiple fund entities and liquidity modelling.
• Support planning for new products, including fundraising campaigns and client requests.
• Partner with Deal, Client, Corporate, Operations, Tax, Legal and Tech teams.
• Coach and review junior team members.
• Lead ad hoc strategic and operational projects for senior leadership.
