Job summary

BNY in Boston seeks a Senior Vice President, Principal Full Stack Engineer to lead the Performance Product Engineering team. You will own the architecture end-to-end for the analytics platform, shaping data models, APIs, and interfaces, and defend build/buy/refactor decisions with clarity and rigor.

You’ll mentor senior engineers, lead cross-team reviews, and partner with product leadership to translate strategy into technical roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building and operating production software.
• Demonstrated architectural ownership of a system used by multiple teams.
• Strong background in data-intensive, distributed, or high-throughput systems.
• Track record of technical influence without formal authority.
• Comfort with ambiguity and legacy in evolving systems.
• Domain experience in financial services or investment performance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture end-to-end for the calculation platform and APIs.
• Lead cross-team design reviews and resolve integration gaps.
• Partner with leadership to translate business needs into technical strategy.
• Prototype and drive AI/ML initiatives from evaluation to production.
