Job summary

BNY in Boston, MA seeks a Senior Vice President, Principal Full Stack Engineer to join the Performance Product Engineering team. You will own end-to-end architecture for the calculation platform, shaping data models, computation engines, orchestration, APIs, and client interfaces.

You will lead cross-team reviews, collaborate with leadership to translate business goals into a technical strategy, and drive AI/ML evaluation and adoption while mentoring senior engineers to raise engineering

Qualifications

10+ years building and operating production software with depth on stack(s) and credibility on the other side.
Demonstrated architectural ownership of a system used by multiple teams.
Strong background in data-intensive, distributed, or high-throughput systems.
Track record of technical influence without formal authority.
Comfort with ambiguity and legacy systems.
Financial services, capital markets, or investment performance/attribution experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Own the architecture end to end for the calculation platform, defining data model, computation engine, orchestration, APIs, and interfaces relied on by clients.
Lead cross-team design reviews, establish reusable patterns, and tackle integration problems between teams.
Partner with leadership to translate business intent into a technical strategy and communicate constraints clearly.
Prototype and evaluate new technology including AI/ML, guiding what to pilot and what to productionize.
Raise the engineering bar by mentoring senior engineers and setting standards for design, testing, and performance.
