Job summary

LeoForce seeks an experienced SVP of Litigation and Risk Management to lead professional liability matters, insurance programs, and enterprise risk for a national healthcare organization.

The role partners with the Chief Legal Officer and senior executives to improve outcomes, forecast financial exposure, and strengthen risk-management processes. Based in Nashville, TN or willing to relocate, with a strong in-house background and board-level leadership experience.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
• Significant in-house litigation and risk management experience.
• Experience managing complex litigation portfolios (class actions, regulatory investigations).
• Proven ability to lead attorneys and outside counsel.
• Must be based in Nashville, Tennessee or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organization’s litigation, claims, insurance, and risk management functions.
• Manage senior leaders overseeing claims litigation, strategy, insurance, and a broader team.
• Oversee a portfolio of complex litigation matters, including professional liability, class actions, and regulatory investigations.
• Develop litigation strategies in partnership with the Chief Legal Officer and senior leadership.
• Manage outside counsel and establish performance expectations, billing guidelines, and case-management standards.
• Partner with finance to support reserving, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
