Job summary

Inception Fertility Corporate Services in Houston seeks an experienced litigation and risk attorney to own the litigation portfolio, insurance program, and enterprise risk across the network. You will direct outside counsel, manage claims, and develop risk programs with clinical quality and compliance in mind.

You will report directly to the Chief Legal Officer, shape policy through contracts and regulatory responses, and partner with senior leaders as the network expands across North America.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active U.S. state bar
• 4–7 years civil litigation experience
• Hands-on experience managing outside counsel, claims, and insurance coverage matters
• Working knowledge of coverage lines and the claims-handling process
• Ability to carry a full portfolio independently and advise senior leaders

Responsibilities

• Own litigation portfolio across medical, employment, and commercial disputes, directing outside counsel on strategy, budget, and resolution
• Oversee the full insurance program: professional/general liability, D&O, EPL, cyber, and property, renewals and coverage analysis
• Manage investigations, reserving, and settlements within delegated authority
• Develop enterprise risk programs with clinical quality, patient safety, and compliance
• Advise leadership on risk-allocation terms in contracts and regulatory matters
