Job summary

HarbourVest seeks a Vice President of Investor Relations to grow our US West Coast institutional base from California, partnering with internal teams to raise capital across our private markets platform. You will manage relationships with pensions, endowments, foundations, insurers, and single-family offices while coordinating with field consultants.

You will lead outreach, meetings, roadshows, and CRM updates (Salesforce), and support RFPs and DDQs with timely, tailored client materials.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of institutional sales experience within asset management/private markets.
• Strong relationship-building across pensions, endowments, foundations, and single-family offices.
• Excellent written and presentation skills; ability to lead strategy and roadshows.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth of US West Coast institutional client base and capital raising across funds and customized accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with field consultants, investors, and internal teams.
• Oversee coordination of RFPs/DDQs and delivery of customized client materials; support marketing and product messaging.
