Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Large Market Direct Sales Executive, Investments for the West to drive growth in institutional assets. You will own a portfolio of named strategic accounts, lead complex engagement teams, and coordinate across Investment Sales partners to close multi-year opportunities.

You will build executive-level relationships with sophisticated institutional buyers, develop multi-year plans, and pursue whitespace opportunities beyond traditional searches, RFPs, or inbound leads.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of financial services or institutional investment experience.
• Proven record of developing and closing large, complex institutional investment opportunities.
• Credibility with C-suite and senior institutional decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Originates, develops, and closes complex opportunities across strategic accounts.
• Owns strategy and commercial development of assigned accounts.
• Develops senior relationships with institutional buyers and decision-makers.
• Creates new opportunities and whitespace proactively.
• Develops relationships across DC, DB, corporate and other pools.
• Leads complex institutional sales processes including RFI/RFPs and negotiations.
• Orchestrates Vanguard resources for an integrated approach.
• Maintains pipeline quality, progression and forecasting.
• Provides leadership beyond the individual portfolio.
